Kim Kardashian is saying that, contrary to reports last week, she doesn’t get paid to tweet for products.
“Am I not allowed to talk about something I like without people assuming I must have been paid to do it?” she wrote on her personal blog over the weekend.
The entry, entitled “I Want to Clear Something Up . . ., ” denies that she was paid to sing the praise of a hamburger chain’s salads — though she does concede that she was paid to make a sexy commercial for them.
Simply, “I want my fans to know what products, gadgets, foods, clothes and beauty products I like and I love sharing all that with my fans,” she wrote.
Reports last week said that Kardashian had joined the ranks of stars who plug products on Twitter for money and that she was paid $10,000 a pop to tweet on behalf of a product.
