Chappelle airborne ‘freak-out’

A jet carrying funnyman Dave Chappelle made an emergency landing in Pittsburgh because of the comedian’s erratic behavior.

Chappelle was on the private jet on his way home to Ohio from New Jersey on Friday when he “freaked out,” would not put his seatbelt on and repeatedly walked into the cockpit asking how much longer the flight would take, TMZ.com reported yesterday.

Chappelle, 36, grabbed the pilot’s arm, which prompted the pilot to decide that the actor was a safety risk and diverted the plane to Pittsburgh, sources said.

A representative for the comedy star told TMZ that Chappelle ate something that didn’t sit well, that he needed to use the rest room and that the facilities on the plane were “not the kind he needed.”
