The arm of the law is especially long in this 11-year-old murder case

There’s no expiration date on justice.

A 34-year-old learned this the hard way on April 29 when he was arrested for a murder he allegedly committed 11 years, four months and one week earlier on Lincoln Place between Franklin and Bedford avenues.

Police said the suspect shot Shawn Hemmings in the back during a midnight clash back on Aug. 22, 1998 — the last flare up in what a detective called an “ongoing dispute.”

Shortly after killing Hemmings, the suspect, whose name is being withheld until we can contact his lawyer, was on a plane to Guyana, where he laid low until flying back to New York earlier this month, police said.

Detectives from the 77th Precinct said handcuffs were slapped on their man after he was located at his brother’s home in Burlington, N.J.

The officers were alerted to their suspect’s arrival during a routine check of airline flights from Guyana, which does not have an extradition treaty with the U.S.

Det. Patrick Coward said the wanted killer made no effort to resist when the gumshoe knocked on his brother’s door and charged him with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
