Felton a game-time decision vs. Magic

Raymond Felton, who has missed the last six games with a strained left hamstring, practiced Sunday and is listed as questionable for Monday’s game in Orlando. He’s officially a game-time decision, but it would be a surprise if he doesn’t suit up and play against the Magic.

“We’ll see what happens. It’s day-to-day questionable, so we’ll see [Monday],’’ said Felton, who also has a sore hip but expects to play as long as he comes through Monday’s shootaround feeling good. “I feel better for sure, definitely feel better. I can’t say I’m totally 100 percent after doing some tests these last two days, but I can say I’m better than the last time I came back from the last injury.’’

Felton missed four straight games in November with a left hip injury he said is still nagging him, and he acknowledged he may have rushed back too early.

“Possibly, it’s just something to think about, because I don’t want to keep aggravating this hamstring and if you keep aggravating something possibly it could tear and I definitely don’t want that. So I’m just trying to be cautious for sure this time and make sure I’m 100 percent,’’ Felton said.

Said Mike Woodson: “He hasn’t been able to really get up and down a whole lot. He’s gone through some conditioning work. But combat-wise, he hasn’t been able to really … a little one-on-one here and there. So we just have to play it by ear and see how he feels. He goes through shootaround [Monday] and he says he’s good to go [and] medical says he’s OK, then we’ll suit him up.’’

Woodson said if Felton plays, he said the trainers may restrict his minutes.

Toure Murry didn’t do much in practice Sunday because of an ankle injury, but is expected to play. Metta World Peace is day-to-day with a sore knee, but Woodson expects him to make the trip.

Tim Hardaway Jr. was limping Saturday after bumping knees with the Grizzlies’ Jamaal Franklin, but Woodson said it was a stomach issue and dehydration that forced the rookie to leave the court and sit out Sunday’s practice.

Iman Shumpert is shooting 6-of-42 over his last eight games, and had a long meeting with assistant general manager Allan Houston after practice.

“I just know when I’m open I’m supposed to knock shots down, and lately I haven’t been doing so,’’ Shumpert said. “It’s just frustrating … to go through that, and for Woody to go offense-defense just in case he’s not knowing when I’m going to snap out of it.’’

After the Knicks routed the Magic, 121-83, on Dec. 6, one of just four wins at the Garden all season, Woodson is convinced Orlando will want payback.

“We played a great game against Orlando here at home,” he said. “I’m sure they’ll be a little more hungrier based on how they played here, so we’ve got to be ready to play.’’
