Jets Blitz

Titans quarterback Jake Locker was having his best outing of the season before being injured with 11:14 left in the third quarter when he was hit by Muhammad Wilkerson and Quinton Coples. When he left Locker had completed 18-of-24 for 149 yards and 3 TDs, in leading the Titans to a 24-6 lead.

UNSUNG HERO

Jets defense did a good job of bottling up Titans RB Chris Johnson. Demario Davis led the charge with eight solo tackles while David Harris added six.

ZERO

Not a great day for Jets secondary. CB Darrin Walls was called for a holding penalty that led to a field goal that gave the Titans a 10-0 lead and then was beaten by WR Justin Hunter or a 16-yard TD pass just before halftime. Neither was a bad as CB Antonio Cromartie left tangled with a referee as Titans WR Nate Washington scored on a 77-yard TD play.

KEY STAT

28. That’s how many points the Titans scored off the two interceptions thrown and two fumbles lost by Jets quarterback Geno Smith.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

“On this particular day, did [Smith] give us a chance to win? No. None of us did. We got beat across the board.” — Rex Ryan
