Don’t miss: A preview of the week’s top shows

‘ARROW’ RETURNS
In the season premiere of “Arrow,” Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) travel to Lian Yu in search of Oliver (Stephen Amell), who left Starling City after The Undertaking. Convinced to return home, Oliver finds that things are in worse shape than he thought—Isabel Rochev (Summer Glau) is preparing a hostile takeover of Queen Consolidated, Thea (Willa Holland) refuses to visit Moira (Susanna Thompson) in jail, Roy (Colton Haynes) is trying to fill the void left by the Arrow’s absence, and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) is working with the district attorney’s office to take down the vigilante. Meanwhile, flashbacks to the island show Slade (Manu Bennett), Shado (Celina Jade) and Oliver in a desperate situation.

A-‘LIST’ ESPIONAGE
‘The Blacklist” led its time slot in its first week. This week, the FBI is on the hunt for a high-ranking Chinese spy, Wujing (Chin Han) who Red (James Spader) claims has hired him to help decode a classified CIA transmission. Liz (Megan Boone, left), posing as an FBI cryptographer, goes with Red to decode the message while protecting US government secrets. Meanwhile, Liz proactively investigates her husband, Tom (Ryan Eggold). Diego Klattenhoff, Parminder Nagra and Harry Lennix also star.

TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT
Still reeling from the discovery that Jack (Stuart Townsend, right) will be her husband’s adversary in court, Sara (Hannah Ware, left) decides to be a good wife. Meanwhile, Jack comes face to face with Sara’s husband, Drew (Chris Johnson), in the murder investigation that has shaken the Karsten family to its core. Also starring Henry Thomas as T.J. Karsten and recent Emmy-winner James Cromwell as Thatcher Karsten.

DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE
Alice (Sophie Lowe) returns home to her father telling her that everyone thought she was dead. Her imaginative stories about a talking White Rabbit (John Lithgow) and a mystical place called Wonderland end up getting her admitted into an asylum, where Dr. Lydgate convinces her to have a procedure that will allow her to forget her pain. Right before the operation is set to take place she is rescued by the Knave of Hearts (Michel Socha), who takes her to the rabbit who informs her that her true love is still alive. As the trio then jumps into the portal returning to Wonderland, Alice sets out on a quest to find Cyrus (Peter Gadiot, above right), but the villainous Jafar (Naveen Andrews) and the Red Queen (Emma Rigby) have other plans.

HOUSE OF THE RISING SON
Ready for more vampires? The “Originals” takes us to New Orleans, where Rebekah (Claire Holt) arrives at her brother Elijah’s (Daniel Gillies) insistence. There she meets Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), who gives her some unexpected news. Concerned that her other brother, Klaus (Joseph Morgan, right), a vampire-werewolf hybrid, is up to no good, Rebekah seeks help from Sophie (Daniella Pineda) Determined to uncover his protege Marcel’s (Charles Michael Davis) secret weapon, Klaus stays one step ahead. Meanwhile, Rebekah is reminded of all the disappointment Klaus has caused her.

FAMILY PLANNING
Annie (Betsy Brandt, left) learns that Mike (Michael J. Fox, right) has apologized to a stranger for her hotheaded behavior and demands that he be more of a “team player.” Over at the TV station, Harris (Wendell Pierce) hosts an office karaoke party. Leigh (Katie Finneran) adopts a puppy, but Eve (Juliette Goglia) is left in charge. Meanwhile, Ian (Conor Romero, center), still stuck in Graham’s (Jack Gore) tiny old bedroom, tries to convince his brother to switch back.
