Gal gets 1-3 years for embezzling from Nicky Hilton’s ex-husband

A Manhattan judge threw the book at a gorgeous Ukrainian embezzler Wednesday, calling her “unremorseful” and her crime “disgusting” as she sentenced the woman to 1 to 3 years prison for stealing nearly a million dollars from Nicky Hilton’s ex-husband Todd Meister.

“I don’t find her to be either remorseful or contrite in any way shape or form,” said Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Jill Konviser as Renata Shamrakova looked on indignantly.

“This crime was manipulative and cunning and at bottom — although her mother may disagree — she is a thief. And unlike Todd Meister the crime is disgusting, disturbing and dishonorable.”

The judge’s scathing words slapped down Shamrakova’s insistence that the trust fund playboy Meister, who’d hired her as a personal assistant, was lying when he said the pair never had a romantic fling.

“The fact that someone is putting a statement he never had a cup of coffee with me is disgusting, disturbing and dishonorable,” the delicate 28-year-old haughtily told the judge before the rebuke.

“I’m sorry I’m really genuinely sorry for my mistake in judgment but I’m also not going to let someone say they never had a cup of coffee with me.”

Last March, Shamrakova copped to charging $821,000 worth of international trips and jewelry on Meister’s American Express card while she worked as his personal assistant. She has maintained that she was also his lover. Shamrakova had until Dec 19 to make restitution but didn’t pay back one cent.

Shamrakova, recently engaged, still looked beautiful wearing a frumpy ensemble of jeans and an oversized beige knit cardigan at her sentencing in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Before she was taken into custody, she swapped her stylish black boots for a pair of white sneakers.

Hedge fund manager Meister, 42, wasn’t in court but prosecutors read a statement from him blasting the brunette as living in a fantasy world.

“She made up a fictitious romantic relationship with me to somehow justify her crimes,” he wrote. “I’m saddened that someone would think it’s ok to steal my property while simultaneously impugning my reputation.”

Konviser meted out the harshest sentence she could give the unapologetic swindler under the plea deal.

“Todd Meister said in his comments I heard today that Miss Shamrakova lives in a world of make believe,” the judge said sternly. “There is nothing make-believe about state prison.”

Shamrakova suffers from a heart condition and her lawyers requested a more lenient sentence so she could be placed on Riker’s Island with access to the jail’s on-site hospital. The judge refused.

The doe-eyed stunner was cuffed and led out of the courtroom as two girlfriends tearfully looked on from the gallery.

Meister married hotel heiress Hilton in a quickie Las Vegas wedding in 2004 after dating for only three months. Six weeks later, the union was annulled.
