The Internet had a field day Thursday night when Kendall Jenner, soft-spoken younger sis to Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian, took a turn down Marc Jacobs’ fall 2014 runway. In a sheer top, no less.

The next morning, as if to up the ante, Vogue.com revealed a full spread featuring the rising star, in clothes direct from collections that just showed during fashion week.

Of course, Anna Wintour has no problem scoring runway looks, which must have been ripped right off of the models’ backs and rushed directly to set (in this case, the swanky Plaza Hotel) for what is perhaps the quickest editorial turnaround in history.

The spread, which photographer Jeff Henrikson cleverly shot selfie-style (as if Jenner were snapping her reflection in a mirror), sees the leggy LA-native rocking 11 standout looks from 10 of New York’s biggest designers, from Upper East Side stalwarts Oscar de La Renta and Carolina Herrera to prep classics Tommy Hilfiger and Tory Burch, with young heavy hitters like Prabal Gurung, and even an ensemble from The Row — an ultra-luxe line from fashion’s favorite celeb crossovers, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

And, of course, there’s Marc Jacobs, to whom Jenner owes this sudden burst of fashion fame. She sports two looks from the iconic designer: a fuzzy bomber jacket fitted over layers of knits, and a sequined dress in psychedelic swirls. Pink bob wig included.

Does this foretell a Vogue cover — a Jenner-Kardashian first? Wintour’s aversion to the clan is certainly notorious. But Kendall — who stands 5’10”, is model thin and “current” without being crass — is primed to serve as the editor-in-chief’s long-awaited compromise.
