Drug crew busted for dealing crack, heroin near school

A Brooklyn drug crew that dealt crack and other drugs near a middle school has been busted after a year-long sting, authorities said Thursday.

A total of 12 dealers were arrested for selling crack, heroin and prescription drugs to undercover cops on Sterling Place in Crown Heights, the Brooklyn district attorney said in a press release.

Several of the dealers were part of a crew called “Sterling World,” the DA said.

“We simply will not tolerate the sale of crack cocaine and heroin anywhere in Brooklyn, let alone near a school that young children attend,” said DA Ken Thompson.

NYPD cops partnered with DA investigators to make 120 undercover buys from the dealers.

Most of the drug sales took place in the lobbies of apartment buildings on Sterling Place.

The 12 dealers range in age from 23 to 53 and were hit with a slew of criminal sale of a controlled substance charges.
