Kelly Rowland debuts new ‘do at Fashion Week

Rumor has it the nasty weather resulted in a five or so celebrity attendees canceling for the KaufmanFranco show at the last minute. But one of Fashion Week’s most ubiquitous attendees, Kelly Rowland, managed to make it to Wednesday’s show at Lincoln Center — and on her birthday, no less!

Stylist to the stars Robert Verdi and Leighton Meester’s stylist Logan Horne cheered when Ms. Rowland sat down, shouting “Happy Birthday” to the songstress from across the runway.

Rowland was also sporting a new short, sleek bob, a big departure from her usual long hair. “I was so bored with my hair and I just wanted something different,” she told the Post. “I kept saying to my hair stylist Neal Farinah, ‘Go shorter, shorter!’ — I was so frustrated with my hair I almost took the clippers and said ‘I want to go bald.’ ”

Besides her birthday, Rowland has plenty to celebrate these days; she went public with her engagement to her manager, Tim Witherspoon, in December 2013. “Being engaged is wonderful,” she said. “I am so blessed to have my best friend to ride through life with.”
