Following the release of some moderately successful singles, Britney Spears’ comeback is already faltering a little. But she could have one more ace up her sleeve: her rapping skills.
Her new collection “Britney Jean” drops on December 3 but some snippets have already been leaked via the web.
It sounds like Spears’ eighth album will be a mix of soft EDM, electro-pop and the occasional ballad. But listen closely and you can hear her try to reel off some rhymes on the rap-influenced “Chillin’ With You” which also features her sister Jamie Lynn.
It’s a brave move, but judging by this early indication, it sounds as though Britney might have to go back to the drawing board and reinvent herself again. Maybe next time she’ll try her hand at some ragga vocals? Now that’d be something to hear.
