Winehouse charity suing after seller keeps signed piano

A charity named after the late singer Amy Winehouse is trying to make a Park Ave. piano seller turn over a collector’s item grand piano — but he says, “No, no, no,” a new lawsuit claims.

The Amy Winehouse Foundation, established after the British-born soul star died of alcoholism in 2011, paid Ronen Segev of Park Avenue Pianos the $20,000 wholesale price for the ‘Golden Age’ mint condition 1916 Steinway Grand Model M piano, which was signed by legendary singer Tony Bennett, who recorded a duet with the long-troubled Brit, according to court papers.

The instrument was auctioned off with another piano autographed by Billy Joel at the March 21, 2013 Amy Winehouse Foundation Inspiration Awards and Gala.

But the winning bidder never came up with the cash and Segev has refused to turn over the piano even though the foundation already paid him for it, the suit says.

Segev told The Post the claim is a result of miscommunication between the parties and he wants to work toward an out-of-court resolution.

The piano seller said he exchanged sour notes with the foundation when they disagreed about which charities should receive the $30,000 to $40,000 raised at the auction.

“I wanted some of the charities that I believe in to also benefit,” Segev said, naming the Jewish Federation of Broward County in Florida.

But the Winehouse nonprofit says in court papers that there was no agreement to share the proceeds from the auction.

The England and Wales-based charity, which benefits vulnerable youth through music therapy programs, wants the court to force Segev to immediately deliver the piano.

The “Rehab” crooner died after a long battle with substance abuse at age 27.

“Despite repeated demands for Segev to relinquish the Tony Bennett Piano, Segev refuses to turn over the Tony Bennett Piano to the Amy Winehouse Foundation,” the Manhattan civil suit says.

“Indeed, Segev has threatened to sell or otherwise attempt to dispose of the Tony Bennett Piano, despite that it is AWF’s property,” it adds.

Bennett and Winehouse won a Grammy Award in 2012 for their duet of “Body and Soul.”

Bennett was honored at the 2013 Waldor-Astoria gala. The star-studded event was also attended by Jennifer Hudson, Sean Lennon and Harry Belafonte.
