‘Frostinistas’ battle snow, ice at Fashion Week

With streets slicked in snow and black ice this Fashion Week, fashionistas must be cautious — or face the consequences.

En route to interview E! host Giuliana Rancic Monday morning I fell face-first into frozen concrete, my sunglasses snapped and I lost a centimeter of skin from my eyebrow.

Post Fashion Writer Timothy Mitchell suffered for fashion after falling on the slick city sidewalks on Sunday.

Maybe I should have watched for ice instead of checking Instagram. Maybe I shouldn’t have swapped trusty Doc Marten boots for a zero-traction pair from a designer I can’t afford. And maybe — just maybe — if I hadn’t been running we’d finally all know WTF is up with the mani-cam.

Regardless, the point is this: Be careful out there, friends. A nasty slip can happen in a New York Fashion Week minute.

I have four stitches — and a few gnarly selfies — to prove it.
