Say what you will about Lifetime’s “Flowers in the Attic”— which didn’t exactly generate critical raves before its premiere — but the movie snared 6.1 million viewers last Saturday night with stars Heather Graham, Ellen Burstyn, Kiernan Shipka and Mason Dye.
That’s the most-watched original cable movie since 2012 (Nickelodeon’s “iCarly: iGoodbye,” which averaged 6.4 million viewers) and the top-rated cable movie in adults 25-54 and women 25-54 since October 2012 (the premiere of Lifetime’s TV-movie version of “Steel Magnolias”).
Lifetime will repeat the movie, based on VC Andrews’ controversial book (which includes incest), this Saturday at 10 p.m.
