Mugged for snow shovel

Snow job

A 30-year-old man was arrested on Dec. 28 for attacking and robbing another man of his snow shovel during a clash on Bay 10th Street in Bath Beach.

Witnesses told police that the suspect and an accomplice were arguing with a third man between Cropsey and Bath avenues at 4:30 pm when they pushed their victim to the ground.

The would-be thief grabbed the shovel, swung it around in a threatening manner and ran off with it, only to be arrested a short time later.

Marlboro choke

A 18-year-old was arrested on Jan. 1 after he tried to choke his mother to death inside the Marlboro Houses.

Police said the young man was arguing with his mom inside the Avenue W address at noon when he lunged, choked her, bit her and then dragged her along the floor.

Cops charged the teen with assault, menacing and harassment.

Gunning for groceries

A thug pulled a gun on a worker inside the Allos Superette on Nostand Avenue on Dec. 30, taking $300 from the till.

Workers told police that the thief entered the store, which is between Avenue Z and Voorhies Avenue, at 7:50 pm and immediately walked to the back, where he pulled a Pepsi from the refrigerator.

But everything changed moments later when he approached the counter, put down the Pepsi and pulled a handgun.

“Give me everything you got,” the man said. “I’m not playing.”

The thief took then took the money and fled, the worker told police.

Bad cop

A man with a fake police radio, scanner and a car with a police-issue dome light was arrested on Jan. 1 when he was caught rifling through a car inside the Sheepshead Bay UA movie theater parking lot.

Police said that at 8 pm the thief, 18, was rooting through a 2008 Hyundai left parked in the Shore Parkway lot.

When they learned he did not own the car he was in, cops took him into custody and confiscated all of his police toys.

Brute beat

A heavy-handed thug left a 42-year-old woman in the hospital following an attack on E. 17th Street in Sheepshead Bay.

The victim said she was arguing with the stranger between Avenues W and X when the suspect hit her in the face repeatedly, leaving her with extensive injuries.

Bullets for Christmas

Three armed thugs took a pot shot at a 23-year-old on Bay 37th Street in Bath Beach on Dec. 21, wounding the young man.

The victim was leaving his house, which is near Benson Avenue, at 10:15 pm when the three suspects jumped him.

The 23-year-old managed to break free and run off, but the thugs left him with a parting gift: One of the goons pulled a gun and opened fire, striking the young man in the arm.

The victim was rushed to an area hospital, where his wounds were treated. One of the shooters — an 18-year-old — was arrested the next day, cops from the 62nd Precinct said.

Lunch break

A thief broke into an E. 26th Street home on Dec. 17 as the homeowner brought some lunch to her school-age children.

The woman told police she leaves her home, which is between Avenues U and V, at 12:40 pm every day to bring her kids lunch at their school.

But on that day, when she returned at 2 pm, she realized someone had rifled through her home, taking $30 worth of jewelry.

Teen jumped

Five thugs surrounded a teenager on Avenue Z on Dec. 17 as he made his way to a local convenience store.

The victim was walking between E. 23rd and E. 24th streets at 11:50 pm when the suspects grabbed him, demanding he hand over all of his belongings.

But the thieves ran off without taking anything, said police, who arrested two of the suspects a short time later.
