Poll shows removal disapproval

New Yorkers dumped on Mayor Bloomberg’s handling of the super snow snarl, pounding him with the lowest approval rating of his career, according to a poll released yesterday.

The Marist College poll found that only 37 percent of those questioned thought the mayor was doing a good overall job, while 60 percent thought he wasn’t.

The rock-bottom results were Bloomberg’s worst since April 2004, when he had a 40-57 percent approval-disapproval rating.

To no one’s surprise, the mayor’s lowest grades came in Brooklyn, where complaints about unplowed streets were the loudest.

But it wasn’t all gloomy for the mayor.

Thirty-seven percent of those questioned in the survey said they thought Bloomberg had learned a lot from the experience, 26 percent said that he had learned “a little” and only 28 percent said he took away nothing at all.

As for his legacy, 39 percent still thought Bloomberg would be ranked as a “great” or “above average” mayor, and just 25 percent thought he wouldn’t.
