A 21-year-old man with a short temper and a long police record is facing a murder charge in the aftermath of what cops say began as a fist fight on a Harlem street.

Malik Layne was arrested Wednesday and charged with fatally shooting Tyreke Taylor, 35, in the neck Tuesday at about 1:15 p.m., police sources said.

Layne allegedly opened fire after Taylor punched him in the face on Seventh Avenue near Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, the sources said.

Layne, who has seven prior arrests, is also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

Police are looking for this man (above) who they say robbed a bank before running off in his rain poncho.

He entered the HSBC branch on Amsterdam Avenue at West 96th Street at 11:10 a.m. Monday, allegedly demanded cash, and fled with $1,000.

The body of a 46-year-old woman was found bruised about the face and arms in her East Village apartment — but investigators did not immediately suspect foul play, noting her history of substance abuse and suicide threats, authorities said.

Laura Harrington’s husband found her in their East 12th Street home at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, police sources said.

Investigators were waiting for the medical examiner to determine the cause of death.

The man in this picture is suspected of stealing money from a woman’s bank account at a Brighton Beach ATM.

He allegedly distracted the 52-year-old victim as she withdrew cash at the Bank of America branch on Brighton Beach Avenue and Brighton Fifth Street on June 20.

He noted her PIN as she entered it, gained access to her account once she’d left, withdrew an unknown amount and fled, police said.

The brother of Kimani Gray, the gun-toting 16-year-old whom cops fatally shot in East Flatbush in March, was shot in the arm yesterday, law- enforcement sources said.

A wounded Omar Gray, 20, walked into Kings County Hospital at noon after being shot at Utica Avenue and Farragut Road, the source said.

Omar, who was arrested for allegedly shooting a 17-year-old girl in the arm last summer, is not cooperating with police, the source added.

A thug terrorized a 69-year-old woman at knifepoint and then carjacked her Pontiac in Norwood.

The attack occurred on West Mosholu Parkway and Jerome Avenue at about 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, cops said.

The crook threatened the woman as he snatched her cellphone, purse and car keys, forced her out of the vehicle, jumped behind the wheel and roared off — only to crash into two parked cars before roaring off completing his getaway, police said.

Police released this surveillance-video image of a creep in the process of allegedly assaulting and robbing a 45-year-old man in Morris Heights.

The victim was on Cedar Avenue near Sedgwick Avenue at 2:25 a.m. June 15 when the perp struck up a conversation, police said.

In the video, the suspect can be seen chasing the victim, catching up to him, slashing the man’s hand, stealing $20 from him and fleeing, cops said.

This police sketch shows a man who robbed three women at gunpoint in Forest Hills.

He allegedly approached the victims at around midnight last Saturday on Slocum Crescent, pulled out a handgun and demanded cash.

The crook fled after the women handed him about $500, as well as credit cards and jewelry, police said.
