Japanese beach bans US sailors’ ‘scary’ tattoos

US sailors and soldiers have been banned from flaunting their “scary” tattoos on a Japanese beach.

After complaints from locals, officials at Zushi beach near the Yokosuka US naval base have said they’ll boot anyone with elaborate ink.

“Public morals have worsened every year,” city official Masashi Koizumi said.

In Japan, tattoos are associated with organized crime.

But Petty Officer David Williams said, “Girls here love tattoos.”
