‘Key & Peele’ gets fourth season extension

Comedy Central is doubling down on “Key & Peele,” extending its fourth season order to 22 episodes and giving its stars a development deal for an animated spinoff.

Season Four of the sketch show — which premieres later this year — will now include 20 originals and two “best-of” episodes (the third season featured 13 episodes).

Creators Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele will also develop an animated series based on their Critiquer’s Corner “Vandaveon & Mike” characters set as 12-year-old hall monitors navigating their way through middle school.

The third season of “Key & Peele” — which concluded last December — averaged 2 million viewers.

Key and Peele will also be seen on FX’s upcoming miniseries, “Fargo,” premiering later this spring.
