Mariano Rivera will be back in The Bronx on Monday and chances are he won’t have a hard time finding the place.
The street across from Yankee Stadium has been renamed from River Avenue to Rivera Avenue and the new sign will be unveiled in a ceremony at 11:30 a.m.
“It’s an honor to have a street named after me,” Rivera said in December after the City Council voted in favor of its renaming. “I have a lot of great memories driving down that street. My family and I are extremely grateful for this.”
Council member Maria del Carmen Arroyo, who led the vote to honor the retired closer, will also be on hand.
