Councilman vows Moskowitz investigation if kids at Albany protest

A city lawmaker promised on Saturday to investigate former City Councilwoman and charter-schools founder Eva Moskowitz if she pulls kids out of class this week for a protest in Albany.

The planned Tuesday demonstration against Mayor de Blasio’s smackdown of three charter schools is supposed to include students from 22 Success Academy schools run by Moskowitz.

“I am also deeply concerned about the legality of a school leader closing schools for entirely political purposes,” said City Councilman Dan Dromm, Education Committee chairman. But Moskowitz vowed to continue the protest.
