Florida State’s redshirt freshman quarterback somehow surpassed his hype and unleashed an epic debut in the Seminoles’ 41-13 win over Pittsburgh on national TV, completing 25 of 27 passes for 356 yards and four touchdowns, while adding a rushing touchdown.
The nation was floored by the performance, but Winston’s girlfriend, Breion Allen, knew a Heisman-worthy showing was coming.
“I know a quarterback better than Johnny Manziel tho…Monday everyone will see,” Allen tweeted on Saturday.
After everyone saw on Monday, Allen tweeted, “Y’all didn’t believe me huh?”
Kevin Durant did. After seeing Winston complete 17 of 18 passes for 240 yards and three touchdowns before halftime, the NBA All-Star became an immediate fan.
“This guy Jameis Winston made me a believer after 1 half of football,” Durant tweeted.
