Starr Report

That was former “The People’s Court” judge Jerry Sheindlin at the Village 7 Cinemas (Third Avenue) last Thursday night for the premiere of “Erroneous Convictions,” a legal TV drama that’s being pitched as a series to cable and broadcast networks.

Jerry has a role as a “tough New York judge” in the drama, created by Bruce Birns, who’s been a Bronx DA for 25 years and is also a writer. “Erroneous Convictions” encompasses the adventures of Brad Barnes (Tom Bartos), a top Bronx homicide prosecutor who’s also pursuing his lifelong dream of a life in show-biz. The character is based on Birns (who’s appeared in a few episodes of “Law & Order”); the drama also co-stars Kim Director (“Inside Man,” “Blair Witch 2”).

Sheindlin’s wife, “Judge JudySheindlin, meanwhile, had her best week of the season for the week ending Feb. 24 — averaging 10.7 million viewers.

Elsewhere in syndication — for the week ending Feb. 24 — “Inside Edition,” with host Deborah Norville, had another strong showing, pulling in 4.6 million viewers to finish just behind “Dr. Phil” on the ratings depth chart. Seems that no matter how much “IE” is moved around the schedule, it always manages to find its0. audience.

(“Dr. Phil,” by the way, snared a season-high 3.5 household rating.)

Pop goes Caviezel (too easy, I know, but it never gets old) . . .

Jim Caviezel, who’s currently headlining CBS’ “Person of Interest” as ex-CIA operative John Reese, tells the upcoming issue of People magazine that his newest TV project is somewhat of a relief after having played Jesus Christ on the big screen (in “The Passion of the Christ”).

“Yeah, I love what I do, and I’m glad people are enjoying it,” he says. “It’s kind of interesting when people start calling out ‘Mr. Reese!’ over ‘Jesus!’ ”

And speaking of CBS series, Starr Report favorite Vince Curatola has just snared a recurring role as a hard-nosed judge on “The Good Wife.”

YouTube’s WIGS channel, now in partnership with Fox, is about to announce its upcoming Season 2 lineup — including the return of “Blue” (Julie Stiles) and “Lauren” (Jennifer Beals, Troian Bellisario).

A new addition to WIGS will be the four-episode series “Paloma,” written and directed by Stiles and starring Grace Gummer as a young woman “dealing with the unpredictability of relationships, both in romance and in the workplace.” The series also features Rhys Coiro and Garret Dillahunt.

“Blue,” meanwhile, will return with 26 new episodes on Friday, March 15, with Stiles as a single mother/upscale escort (Mark Consuelos plays one of her “clients”). The series also features Holly Robinson Peete, Kathleen Quinlan, Carla Gallo, James Morrison and Uriah Shelton — and is co-written by Karen Graci.

The second season of “Lauren” will return this spring; in addition to Beals and Bellisario, it features Bradley Whitford, Raymon Cruz, Sean Harmon, Mykelti Williamson, Justine Ezarik and Sarah Jones.

Both shows, to date, have garnered over 8 million total views on YouTube.
