Worried ‘widow’

Didn’t this show used to star Ashley Judd? Last year it was called “Missing.” This year, it’s called “Red Widow.” In the first of two back-to-back episodes, Marin County homemaker Marta Walraven (Radha Mitchell) has a mobster father. When her drug kingpin husband, Evan, is gunned down in the driveway, she knows she’s going to have to skip a few Pilates classes and protect her youngins. An FBI agent promises justice in exchange for her cooperation, but Marta is on the fence. Her husband’s business partners were involved in the theft of millions of dollars of cocaine from international crime boss Nicholae Schiller. As far as he’s concerned, Evan’s debt is not clear. And now we get to the Ashley Judd part. It is up to Marta, as the widow, to navigate the underworld in order to repay this debt — however Schiller sees fit.

Parsons in charge

It had to be a true story. A scholarship student and school newspaper editor (Vanessa Marano) discovers that five senior members of the lacrosse team at her snooty New England prep school have made a sex tape with a classmate and she blows the lid off the school by releasing the tape virally. The scandal made national headlines and inspired a nonfiction book account and led to the expulsion of multiple students, including a US Senator’s son. “Restless Virgins” co-stars Timothy Busfield and Max Lloyd-Jones.
