Ratings continue to climb for ‘Family Feud’

Now it’s just getting ridiculous, in a good way, for Steve Harvey and his syndicated daytime game show, “Family Feud.”

The show, which has been on a ratings roll since last season, continues to climb — hitting an all-time household rating high of 6.1 for the week ending Jan. 26 (that translates into over 9.2 million viewers — “Judge Judy” numbers). It’s the first time the show (5 p.m./Ch. 9) has surpassed the 6.0 mark since Nielsen introduced its “People Meters” (which measure ratings) back in 1988. “Feud” also set a series-record 3.1 rating among women 25-54, daytime’s “money” demo — beating usual demo champ “Wheel of Fortune” and its sister show, “Jeopardy!”

Here’s how big Harvey’s impact been since he joined the show in September 2010: “Family Feud” ratings are up 336 percent since then, no doubt benefiting from Harvey’s other daytime gig, “The Steve Harvey Show” (3 p.m./Ch. 4), which has performed strongly, especially among women viewers, since its September 2012 bow.

More game-show news: Rebecca Romijn will host “Skin Wars,” an eight-part summer series airing on GSN that will find “the most talented and versatile body painters in the country.” RuPaul and body-painters Craig Tracy and Robin Slonina will judge.
