Here comes even MORE Honey Boo Boo

The great thing about America is that you can always get too much of a good thing. Like the split final season of “Mad Men,” which will drag on until 2015. Now, TLC has just decided to give us another 12 episodes of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.” And three specials. This moment of programming genius was no doubt inspired by the ratings for the Sept. 11 commitment ceremony between Mama June and Sugar Bear — 3.2 million viewers.
According to Variety, the new episodes will be added to the show’s second season, which premieres in January.
“The world continues to be fascinated by the Boo Boo gang and their crazy hijinks,” said Howard Lee, exec veep of production and development for TLC. “As Alana gets older, the dynamic between her parents and sisters is changing. Viewers can look forward to seeing a different side of the family as they embark on this exciting new chapter of their lives.”
