A lip synch-off has a high potential for laughs, but few could’ve expected what would happen when Stephen Merchant, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Jimmy Fallon engaged in one on Tuesday night’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”
“I take this very seriously,” Merchant said half way through the contest, and as the hilarious ten minute segment proved, the same could be said for the other two men as well.
Merchant, Gordon-Levitt and Fallon performed two songs each, picking tracks from across the musical spectrum including a-ha’s “Take on Me,” Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer” and Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).”
This isn’t the first time the soon-to-be “Tonight Show” host has participated in a lip synch-off. Back in May the host went head to head with John Krasinski.
