A multi-vehicle crash on the eastbound Newark Bay extension of the NJ Turnpike caused a commuting nightmare for drivers headed towards the Hudson County area on Tuesday morning.
The initial crash at about 6:20 a.m. involved two dump trucks and a box truck, reported NJ.com.
The crash near Exit 14A in Bayonne sparked a chain reaction crash involving 10 vehicles.
The eastbound lanes of the Newark Bay extension were closed for about an hour, but traffic remained backed-up for miles hours later.
There were no reports of injuries.
