Two hurt in Crown Heights fire

Two people were hurt in a Crown Heights blaze early today, authorities said.

One resident was seriously injured in a first-floor fire that began about 2:30 a.m. at a Crown Street building near Rogers Avenue, according to an FDNY spokesman.

Sixty firefighters extinguished the flames about 3:05 a.m., and one suffered burns on his ears and neck, the spokesman added.

Both patients are being treated in Manhattan at Weill Cornell Medical Center.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the fire.
