Giants’ Thomas: Marshall got away with one

CHICAGO – No fair.

That’s the way cornerback Terrell Thomas viewed the battle he and the other Giants defensive backs engaged in Thursday night. Brandon Marshall was a dominant force in the first half of the Bears’ 27-21 victory, hauling in two touchdown passes, including a 3-yard scoring catch in the second quarter.

On that play, Thomas felt Marshall got away with what should have been called pass interference.

“He definitely pushed off,’’ Thomas said. “He does it all the time. I talked to the ref before the game. He’s a big, physical guy, they let him get away with it. It’s tough, I was right there, I had my hands on, obviously I didn’t make no play on the ball because I got thrown out of the way.’’

Marshall finished with nine receptions for 87 yards.

Antrel Rolle said despite opening the season 0-6, the Giants locker room has not fractured.

“We’re going to continue to fight. We’re going to continue to fight, we‘re going to continue to stick together as a team, no matter what, through thick or thin,’’ Rolle said. “We’re all we got. Everyone else is counting us out, and I don’t blame them at this point. Outside looking in, I’d probably count us out, too. I’d probably count us out, too. But one thing no one can measure, they can’t measure your heart, they can’t measure your fight.

“So while everyone else is counting us out, within this locker room and within this organization we have to count ourselves in.”
