Melo helping Tyson Chandler with shooting

Tyson Chandler so far is shooting 100 percent on jump shots during preseason — 2-for-2 in the two games he has played. The Knicks center said he has Carmelo Anthony helping him as he tries to reinvent himself as more of a jump-shooting center.

“It’s all fun,’’ Chandler said. “I talk to Melo about certain things, have him watching me out there and obviously the entire coaching staff, including [assistant general manager] Allan Houston. As long as I’m in the game, I want to get better.”

Chandler said he has tried to “implement’’ anything Anthony has told him.

“I told him if you see something, get on me,’’ Chandler said. “Obviously, he’s one of the best in the game offensively. No one better to get advice than from him. I’ll never be able to do what he does, but I could get some tricks.’’

Point guard Beno Udrih didn’t play Saturday because he said he strained his left elbow after taking a tumble in Toronto Friday. It’s unclear if Udrih will be back for the next preseason game in Baltimore against the Wizards.
