A Staten Island judge sentenced a child molester to 25 years in jail yesterday– after the creep whined that he was victimized on Riker’s Island, law-enforcement sources said.
Cirilio Alcantara, 32, was convicted of committing a criminal sex act and sex abuse after attacking a 6-year-old relative last May in Port Richmond, authorities said. The child was five years old at the time.
Rather than apologizing for the heinous act, Alcantara said at his sentencing that the system hadn’t helped him with his alcoholism, and that he had not been permitted to work while in jail to make money.
Staten Island District Attorney Daniel Donovan said Alcantara’s excuses were preposterous .
“Cirilo Alcantara did unspeakable, horrendous acts to this young girl,” said District Attorney Daniel M. Donovan, Jr. “There is only one victim in this case– and that is the young girl who had her innocence stolen by a brute.”
