Showtime cancels ‘The Borgias’

So much debauchery, so little time.

Fans of the bacchanalia, blood, and booty-filled “The Borgias” will have to start trolling the Internet to find Lucrezia-sized lust.

Showtime has canceled the incredibly expensive series after three seasons. The series finale airs this Sunday at 10 p.m.

Jeremy Irons stars in “The Borgias,” which averaged only about 2.4 million viewers but, nonetheless, racked up 10 Emmy nods, winning two statuettes.

On a happier note, Caesar and Lucrezia — those darling siblings — will, we’re told, finally be free to become the full-time lovers they yearn to be. Why go outside the family when — for the Borgias, at least — incest was always best?
