CIA’s ‘Zero’ Osama leak

WASHINGTON — Then-CIA Director Leon Panetta revealed “top secret” details of the Osama bin Laden raid during an event attended by “Zero Dark Thirty” screenwriter Mark Boal, according to an inspector general’s report.

The report, by the watchdog group Project on Government Oversight, showed that Panetta disclosed the information in a speech at a June 2011 award ceremony at CIA headquarters.

It was unclear if he knew Boal was in the audience.

“Mission security was violated to satisfy Hollywood. That is inexcusable,” said Rep. Pete King (R-LI).
