Inglorious Basterds 2009
Sunday, 8 p.m., TNT

Quentin Tarantino’s film stars Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender, Diane Kruger, Melanie Laurent (above), B.J. Novak and a then-unknown Christoph Waltz in a sprawling WWII thriller that revolves around, as Pitt’s American military officer puts it, “killin’ Nazis.” A gorgeous, gory pastiche of cinematic styles, this is Tarantino at his absolute best.

Babe 1995
Monday, 9:45 a.m., ENC

A young pig trains himself to herd sheep — and saves his own skin in the process — on a New Zealand farm in this 1995 movie featuring James Cromwell (right) as big-hearted farmer Arthur Hoggett. It’s technically a kids’ film, but this funny, touching story is actually for just about everyone.

True Grit 2010
Tuesday, 5:30 p.m., FXM

The Coen brothers brilliantly reimagine the 1969 John Wayne movie with Jeff Bridges as curmudgeonly US Marshal Rooster Cogburn, while introducing a young Hailee Steinfeld (left) as Mattie Ross, the girl who enlists his help finding her father’s murderer. Check out the ‘stache on Matt Damon as a Texas Ranger named LaBoeuf.

Nine To Five 1980
Friday, 4 p.m., TVGN

Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin (right) and Jane Fonda join forces as working women fed up with their  “sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical” boss, played to perfection by Dabney Coleman in this ’80s comedy.
