Spot a hotshot skating at Central Park? It might be Tara Lipinski

If a petite blonde upstages you at Wollman Rink with the occasional loop or spiral, the culprit could well be Tara Lipinski.

The Olympic gold medalist-turned-NBC commentator, who lives in Greenwich Village, is a regular at the famed Central Park ice-skating spot.

“I love the wide open space,” 31-year-old Lipinksi tells The Post from Sochi this week. “I’m usually confined to an ice arena with no scenery.

“There is something magical about being on the ice and looking at that incredible skyline behind you.”

But she doesn’t train or “throw big tricks” there. “It’s back to the roots of just enjoying being on the ice for fun,” she explains. “Sometimes I will do a spin or two for friends — and then I get a few looks.”

Lipinski and her TV commentary partner, Johnny Weir, 29, have been the talk of the games this year with their on-screen rapport and flamboyant outfits.

“I’ve found my second calling,” says Lipinski, who won gold in 1998 at the tender age of 15. “I’ve been to the Olympics as an athlete, spectator and to come back in this capacity as a broadcaster has been so exciting.”

As for their daring fashion choices — including eye-catching fascinators for Lipinski and statement necklaces for Weir — it’s been quite a ride. “There was a lot of suitcases, planning and late-night brainstorming,” she admits. “We had a great time bringing the fun and drama.”
