Iconix joins bidders for Elvis

Add fashion portfolio Iconix Brand Group to the mix of parties interested in acquiring rights to the Elvis Presley name and likeness, The Post has learned.

Iconix, which retails Madonna’s “Material Girl” fashion line and sells Sandra Lee’s housewares, is through to the second round of bidding, according to a source close to the process.

The sale by Apollo Global Management also includes the rights to the Muhammad Ali brand and likeness.

Some bidders are interested in the whole company, others to operate the Elvis Presley intellectual property or the Graceland property.

Sony/ATV and G2 Investment Group are also moving forward, according to sources familiar with bids.

A spokesman for Apollo wasn’t immediately available to comment.
