MTA bus crashes into van in Queens

Four people were seriously injured and six others were left with minor injuries after an MTA bus crashed into an airport shuttle van in Queens Friday night, authorities said.

The bus was driving along Northern Boulevard and Prince Street just before 10:00 p.m. when a Q12 bus was struck by a van carrying nine passengers, according to cops.

Authorities say the driver of the Q12 MTA bus and three passengers from the airport shuttle van were seriously injured, while six other passengers received minor injuries after the accident, authorities said.

Aside from the driver, the MTA bus was empty at the time of the accident, authorities said.

All aided were taken to New York – Queens Hospital, according to authorities.

An investigation behind the accident is ongoing, police said, although no summons or charges were issued as of Friday night, according to cops.
