Cold and flurries on tap for St. Patrick’s Parade

Manhattan’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will get off to a wintry start Monday, with revelers marching amid snow flurries and frigid temps.

But St. Paddy’s hearty partiers weren’t worried.

“I’m dressed for it, ready to go! Rain or shine, or snow,’’ said Jeff Goulet, 43.

Others said the winter weather was part of the tradition, anyway.

“It won’t bother us at all,” said Tony McCormack, 53. “We’ll enjoy the day whatever the weather is and have a great time.”

A cold blast and some flurries are predicted to hit the five boroughs in the morning, leaving the parade route with about an inch of the white stuff.

“We think there will be some accumulation,” said AccuWeather meteorologist Jack Boston. “It should be cloudy, and it’s gonna be cold, bundle-up weather.”

The high is only expected to reach 27 degrees, with winds making it feel as if it’s in the teens.

The grand marshal will be union leader Jack Ahern of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 30.

The parade begins at 11 a.m., and street closures for the route stretch up Fifth Avenue between 44th and 79th streets.
