Thank you, Michelle Malkin, for exposing Russell Simmons and his debaucherous ways (“Russell Simmons, Rape Video Clown,” PostOpinion, Aug. 17).
As an African-American woman, I’ve always believed him to be a low-brow and uninspiring individual. It does not surprise me that he would allow and endorse an absolutely despicable video of Harriet Tubman in a sex tape with her slave master.
He has always been a purveyor of smut. The rap music he hails as the “truth” is filled with lies, degradation, filth and many untruths about who we are, how we live and who we aspire to be.
The NAACP quietly asked him to remove the disgusting video. Simmons, in my opinion, has offered a very weak and timid apology. Where is Al Sharpton? Where are the black politicians? Where is the outrage?

The socially and politically correct crowd crucified Paula Deen and a rodeo clown for what?
Simmons allowed his YouTube channel All Def Digital to promote a racially insensitive video. The NAACP, which should be outraged, just calls up and helps Simmons out. How cool is that?
The whole production crew should be fired and Simmons needs a mental-health exam.

Simmons built his profanity-laced rap empire on sexual degradation, misogyny and violence?
Malkin is confusing ’80s-era rap with today’s garbage.
I suggest she go back and listen to the rap pioneers who were on Simmons’ label, like Kurtis Blow, Run-D.M.C. and The Fat Boys, because there was nothing degrading to women whatsoever in their music.
