Model is dressed to the nines for court appearance

A former “Project Runway” model turned a Manhattan courtroom aisle into her own catwalk Wednesday, vamping it up for photographers covering her appearance on charges that she lied to cops about a robbery.

Model Morgan Quinn sauntered across a courtroom floor in a tight black dress with an open low back, black heels and stockings.

The dress was accented with a belt as red as Santa’s suit.

Although the court appearance was a simple scheduling session, the stunning blonde seemed more concerned about her entrance than she was about the charge against her.

She had a friend brush her hair before she entered court.

“Tell the Post to pick a better picture,” Quinn said in the hallway, decrying her appearance in the paper in a red frock and knee-high boots after her last court date in October. “That was a crime.”

She was charged with filing a false report after she told police a homeless man threatened her with a sharp object Aug. 7 after she gave him money and forced her inside a Murray Hill building. There, she said, the assailant supposedly swiped her purse, which she said contained $300 and a $2,000 cocktail ring.

Quinn, 31, went to the 13th Precinct station house to file a report, and cops canvassed the neighborhood but had no luck locating a suspect.

They found her empty purse a week later — but no evidence that she had been robbed after scouring surveillance video.

She was later hit with the false-report charge. But Quinn still insists she was robbed.

“I’m hoping for the best outcome,” said Quinn’s lawyer, Brian Kennedy. “Hopefully the DA’s office drops the case.”

Quinn was known for her meltdowns in the first season of “Project Runway.”

Rival designers dubbed her Morganza after her antics constantly disrupted the competition.

She was caught on film damaging outfits, being late and getting extremely emotional.

Quinn has appeared on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar.
