5 can’t-miss games on the 2014 NFL schedule

The complete NFL schedule was released Wednesday night. The season kicks off Sept. 4 when the Seahawks host the Packers in Seattle.

The Post breaks down the five best games to look for in 2014.

Seahawks at 49ers, Week 13, No. 27, 8:30

You were expecting Jaguars-Titans, maybe? This is a no-brainer for the must-see matchup, which we can only hope will be the first of three between these two ferocious NFC West rivals for the second year in a row. The game at Santa Clara gets the nod only because of the Niners’ new stadium.

Broncos at Seahawks, Week 3, Sept. 21, 4:25

Seattle dismantled Peyton Manning & Co. by a 43-8 count on a neutral field in the Super Bowl, so there’s no telling what type of punishment the Seahawks can dish out to Denver in the din of their own ridiculously intimidating home field. Surely the Broncos won’t be as bad in the rematch.

Redskins at Eagles, Week 3, Sept. 21, 1:00

We’ll call this the “Character Assassination Bowl” in honor of DeSean Jackson in his first trip back to Philadelphia since the Eagles unceremoniously released their All-Pro wide receiver amid a hail of whispers about his off-field life. The only “gang sign” Jackson will probably flash in Chip Kelly’s direction is his middle finger.

Broncos at Patriots, Week 9, Nov. 2, 4:25

Peyton Manning Anthony J. Causi

Peyton vs. Tom Brady is always — always — worth circling on the calendar. Their matchup in last season’s AFC title game might have been a one-sided dud that was over by halftime, but who can forget that New England comeback from 24-0 down just two months before it?

Patriots at Packers, Week 13, Nov. 30, 4:25

New England is visiting Lambeau Field for just the second time since 1988 in this matchup of two of the league’s best quarterbacks in Brady and Aaron Rodgers. The Packers can only hope Brady isn’t as sharp as he was in his only prior visit, when he threw for four touchdowns and no interceptions in a 35-0 rout of Green Bay in 2006.
