Online map helps you locate Cronut knockoffs in New York City and across the globe

This map makes finding pastries a piece of cake!

A new online tool helps New Yorkers locate Cronut knockoffs so they can get their sugar rush . . . rushed.

The lifestyle Web site Thrillist has launched the map displaying the locations of bakeries — in the Big Apple and across the globe — that are cooking up copycat versions of the Dominique Ansel Bakery’s original trademarked croissant-doughnut hybrid.

“Ours are very good. The customers say they’re better than the Cronut,” said Masato Miura, 29, chef at the East Village’s Dessert Club, ChikaLicious, which is on the map.

Miura came up with her Doughssant after tasting a Cronut at Soho’s Dominique Ansel Bakery, which set off the pastry craze after introducing its crispy, creamy treat in May.

“It was oily and heavy. To me, it wasn’t good. So I tried making something like it, with no oil,” Miura recalled.

“We bake it once, and then we dip it like French toast and bake it again. We don’t fry it.”

ChikaLicious, she says, sells 250 to 300 of its version a day.

On Thrillist’s map, locations are marked with pink-frosted doughnuts. Click one, and the name and address pops up.

It includes three other city shops — Mille-feuille Bakery Cafe in Greenwich Village, Le Petit Bakery in Fort Greene, Brooklyn and Gregory’s Coffee in Midtown — as well as dozens of others across 12 countries.

Managers at Gregory’s Coffee say its Croissant Doughnuts are selling like hotcakes, with stock often gone by 10 a.m. and customers calling ahead to check if any are left.

“This is our best-selling pastry of all time,” manager Max Barresi said.

Other copycats include Cro-Nots, Fauxnuts and Croissnuts.
