The NYPD is searching for a vandal who splashed red paint on the Council on Foreign Relations building on the Upper East Side.

An unidentified man, dressed in black from head to toe, tossed the paint onto the building at 58 E. 68th St. just after midnight on Nov. 5, according to police.

The incident wasn’t reported to cops until around 9:30 a.m. after the damage was discovered, police sources said.

Investigators scoured the area for video and were able to locate an image of the vandal who was carrying the paint in a plastic bag, cops said.

The NYPD’s Intelligence Division has been made aware of the incident and police said the crime has been classified criminal mischief as a felony.

The perpetrator caused $1,500 in damage to the facade of the building, cops said.

A man’s car was stolen after he left his engine running while he went into Greenwich Village bodega, authorities said.

The victim parked his black Honda Accord in front of the 14th Street Food Market near Sixth Avenue at around 6 a.m. Monday to make a quick purchase. He left the doors unlocked and the engine running to keep the vehicle warm, cops said.

When the man came out of the store, he spotted the thief getting in the driver’s seat before speeding north on Sixth Avenue.

No description of the thief was immediately available.

Queens

A mother was gunned down in her Elmhurst apartment as her 5-year-old son cowered in another room, and police are questioning the woman’s boyfriend, cops said.

The 29-year-old victim and her son were at the home at Justice and 52nd avenues at around 1:50 a.m. Tuesday when two men — one identified as the woman’s boyfriend — walked in and she was shot twice in the head, police said.

The woman was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Her boyfriend is not believed to be the father of the boy, who was hiding out in another room when his mother was murdered. He was not hurt, cops said.

The identity of the slain woman is being withheld pending family notification, cops said.

Rashawn Williams

Police have identified the suspect wanted for shooting a 14-year-old girl walking home from school in East New York last week, authorities said.

Rashawn Williams, 19, fired three or four shots on the corner of Sutter and Euclid avenues at around 3:30 p.m. Friday in what police believe was a gang-related shooting, cops said.

One of the bullets struck 14-year-old Tamia Tucker in the leg as she was on her way home from Benjamin Banneker Academy in Fort Greene.

Williams is described as being 5-foot-11 and weighing around 165 pounds.


One of the suspects who’s been terrorizing Sheepshead Bay convenience stores.

Two men have been terrorizing convenience-store owners in Sheepshead Bay, authorities said.

The thugs first walked into AH&F Grocery on Ocean Avenue at around 3 a.m. Oct. 5 before pulling a gun on the clerk and tying him to a chair, cops said.

The thieves then fled with about $1,100 and several cartons of cigarettes, police said.

They struck again in the early morning hours of Oct. 22, this time robbing A&H Deli on Avenue Z at gunpoint, making off with more cash and cigarettes.

The thieves returned to the same store Nov. 16, but left empty-handed, cops said.

They knocked off Shop and Smile on Neptune Avenue at around 4 a.m. later that same night, making off with around $900 and more cartons of cigarettes.

The thieves made one more unsuccessful attempt at robbing A&H Deli on Sunday before getting into a scuffle with the clerk and running off, cops said.


TD Bank robbery suspect.

A thief robbed a TD Bank in Windsor Terrace, according to police.

The crook walked into the branch on Prospect Park South near Park Circle around 4:15 p.m. on Nov. 12 and handed a demand note to the teller, cops said.

The suspect was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and cap, cops said.
