A dermatologist whose face has been plastered on subway car ads for decades appears to need a skin doctor of his own.
A more recent photo of Dr. Jonathan Zizmor, 69, a quintessential New York mug, was unveiled on the Web, and the good doctor looks more like a crypt-keeper than the fresh-faced man who beams down at passengers.
The less recognizable Zizmor image went viral Friday and subway riders throughout the city expressed shock.
“That Zizmor [picture] is all of the mind explosions,” one user tweeted. “All of them.”
Zizmor’s ads have been in subway cars going back to at least the early 1990s.
