‘Woody’ from ‘Toy Story’ arrested on sex charges

A Times Square “Toy Story” character was busted on sex charges Thursday night, law-enforcement sources said.

José Vasquez, 44, who was wearing a costume of the lovable character Woody, was hauled into the Midtown North station house by two plainclothes cops in an unmarked car at about 8 p.m.

He faces raps of forcible touching and sex abuse involving “numerous girls” in Times Square, the sources said.

The character of Woody is a courageous cowboy doll voiced by Tom Hanks in the three classic movies.

Vasquez is the latest in a rogues’ gallery of Times Square costume characters who have been arrested while posing for photos with tourists, usually children, in exchange for tips.

A man dressed as Cookie Monster from “Sesame Street” was arrested last June after allegedly shoving a 2-year-old boy because his mom was too slow to tip.

Another man, this one dressed as Spider-Man, was busted last February after allegedly punching a 44-year-old woman in the face after she refused to give him a tip.

And a Times Square “Elmo” character was arrested in 2012 for shouting anti-Semitic slurs.
