‘Frillies’ gam for Post gag

Phillies superstar Ryan Howard thinks he should have been the one modeling a cheerleader’s skirt on the front page of yesterday’s Post — not his teammate Shane Victorino.

“I might pull it off a little better than Shane,” Howard joked yesterday. “He needs to shave his legs, No. 1.”

But Jimmy Rollins set Howard straight.

“Have you seen Ryan’s legs? They’re not as pretty as those [in the Post picture],” he said.

Victorino took the skirt in stride.

“I totally got a chuckle out of it,” he said. “It’s just funny that I became the villain or I became the guy. My legs looked good, though.”

The Phillies may have a sense of humor, but judging from the hundreds of mostly unintelligible e-mails sent by mouth-breathers in response to the story, their fans clearly do not.

“You’re a joke and so is your city,” one fan wrote. “New York City is filled with really ugly, unintelligent, loudmouth, crude animals.”
