A white-supremacist blogger accused of threatening to kill three federal judges was investigated by the Secret Service for talking about assassinating President Obama, according to court papers filed yesterday in Brooklyn federal court.
And his lawyer thinks that’s a good thing.
Hal Turner’s attorney, Michael Orozco, pointed out that his client was never charged with threatening the president. He said that suggests the feds had issued a letter protecting Turner — a former FBI informant who lives in North Bergen, NJ — from being prosecuted for making incendiary comments about public officials.
