Katz: Curtis Sliwa’s wife ‘knew about our relationship’

Queens Borough President Melinda Katz admitted in court papers filed Thursday to having an intimate relationship with married Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa — saying her beau’s then-wife knew all about their trysts, so her lawsuit against the two-timing duo should be tossed.

Mary Sliwa “and [her] attorney were well-aware of the defendants’ relationship prior to” her 2011 separation from Curtis Sliwa, Katz says in the new filing.

Katz had denied having an affair with Sliwa when she first responded to Mary Sliwa’s $1 million lawsuit in June. She was running for her borough-wide post at the time.

But she seemed to reverse course after the crime fighter-turned-radio host’s third ex-wife revealed transcripts of 19 hot-and-heavy phone messages Katz left for Sliwa in 2010, purring about his sexual prowess.

“Last night was not about you going home,” Katz allegedly said in a July 2010 message left on Curtis’ voicemail.

“Last night was about the fact that you are capable of making love to me twice,” Katz said, according to Mary Sliwa’s court papers.

Katz revealed in a 2012 interview with The Post that Sliwa was the father of two boys she had through in vitro fertilization, but noted, “Curtis and I were living completely separate lives” when their first son was born in 2008.

But in the transcribed voicemails, Katz allegedly says in April 2010, “11 years I’ve waited for you…I’ve always given you the option of having me…I have always kept your secrets.”

Katz reiterates in the court papers filed Thursday, “The private and intimate 2009 and 2010 voicemails transcribed in Mary’s affidavit only further establish that [Mary] had full knowledge of the defendants’ relationship and of Curtis Sliwa’s decision to financially support any children with Melinda Katz.”

A spokesman for Katz said “the crux of her legal argument” is that Mary Sliwa only threw a fit about the cheating when her former spouse slashed child support payments in 2013 following a salary cut.

“Curtis’ ex-wife is furious about recently losing her $13,000 a month payment from that settlement and this is her reaction,” the spokesman said.

He now pays $2,500 a month to Mary Sliwa for his 10-year-old son Anthony, and $5,000 a month to Katz for their two boys, Carter, 5, Hunter, 3.

“Mary Sliwa released all claim to suing Curtis over marital issues during their divorce,” a spokesman for Katz said in a statement.

“Melinda has been clear and consistent on these issues and will not comment further on personal matters that directly effect her children,” the spokesman said.

Mary Sliwa’s attorney did not return requests for comment.
