Tats of nine tales

Ashley Dupre has nine tattoos — all applied before the Spitzer scandal — that she refers to as a “diary” of lessons learned. She jokes that if she were to get a 10th to reflect the last year and a half, it would read, “Patience is a virtue.”

* A Chinese character on her right wrist means “love.”

* A butterfly on her stomach represents freedom.

* A cross on her right hand is dedicated to her deceased grandmother.

* She got a letter “K” on her left hand as a show of support for her brother Kyle when he was going through tough times.

* Latin words on her left arm read, “Quod me destruit, me invalesco,” or “What destroys me strengthens me.”

* In Arabic, on her right forearm, is the phrase “strength of your desire.”

* Just below her washboard abs are the words “tutela valui,” which she says means “protection” and “power” in Italian.

* A dragon on her left shoulder blade represents power.

* On her upper back, “Determination conquers all” is written in Latin.
